Welcome to Green Bay Bird Control: Prevention and Removal of Unwanted Birds

Our company specializes in resolving problems caused by birds in Green Bay, Wisconsin, both residential and commerical. We handle bird species such as pigeons, starlings, grackles, sparros, and even Canada Geese and woodpeckers. We generally don't kill birds - we prevent them from causing problems. Most commonly, this means that we install barriers that prevent them access to your building or property, or anti-roosting devices that prevent them from landing, nesting, or roosting on your home, store, building, or anywhere. We use netting, needle strips, shock track, and more. We do offer trapping in some cases, and removal of birds from warehouses, grocery stores, or other commerical or industrial buildings by netting or sometimes pellet shooting. We have a wide variety of tools and methods for solving every manner of bird problem. Call us at 920-395-1737 to discuss your bird problem today.

1

Netting

Stop Birds From Accessing Your Space

We stop birds from entering almost any space by installing netting. It is strong and durable, but thin and black so that it is not visually distracting. We can prevent birds from flying or roosting under awnings, roofs, or any other architectural area.

2

Anti-Roosting

Stop Birds From Landing Or Roosting

We install needle strips or shock track on ledges, beams, the tops of signs, and anywhere birds are roosting and causing unsightly and unhealthy droppings. We can reach any area with our ladders and boom lifts.

3

Cleanup

We Clean Droppings and Nesting Material

Birds can make a mess with their droppings - on your building, roof, or the ground, or any other area. Sometimes bird guano and nesting material accumulate. We professionally clean and decontaminate the area.

Can Pigeons Eat Rice?

It seems that someone once started a rumour that you could successfully use rice to help kill off a pigeon population in your back garden, but we would like to put a stop to that rumour right now.

It's not true. Throw as much rice as you like out there; it won't kill the pigeons.

What it will do, however, is feed them and give them a reason to come back, and then keep on coming back. It's probably NOT the best idea to throw rice at pigeons.

Rice that is raw/uncooked will appeal to pigeons more than it will appear to the other, cuter birds that you probably don't mind having in your back garden. Doves are also a fan of uncooked/raw rice, so by throwing that around in the back garden or yard, you'll simply be attracting the birds rather than deterring them.

If you wanted to give other birds a favour during the colder winter weather, you can actually use cooked rice. This will attract pigeons if they are prone to coming to your back garden, but can be used in bird feeders when other birds are present but pigeons are not. We don't recommend throwing cooked rice on the ground for birds because other nuisance wildlife will get to it first. You certainly won't want to lure in a raccoon or opossum problem at the same time as trying to get rid of a pigeon one.

Moving aside from the whole rice debate for a moment, we would like to point you in a slightly different path than killing pigeons to get rid of them. There are many simple property modifications you could put in place to deter the pigeons from roosting or perching there, and you would be hard-pressed to find a poison or similar that would successfully kill them off. That sort of activity is illegal in most States.
